Step one is to use diamond embedded resin pads to grind the surface of the terrazzo floor. We perform 3 to 4 passes in most cases using finer and finer grit levels. This process removes the damned surface and prepares the terrazzo for polishing.
Terrazzo Polishing
We used levels of polish to get this terrazzo back to its original state. First we apply a calcite stone polish that reacts with the marble chips embedded in the stone aggregate. Then as a second polishing step we use a polishing method called crystallizing which takes the entire surface to the net lel of reflectivity.
Terrazzo Cleaning and Sealing
Cleaning and sealing your terrazzo is an important step to maintaining a healthy floor. When at home, always make sure to use PH neutral cleaners that are specifically made for stone.
