Etched Marble Floor
This marble floor located in an upscale neighborhood of Tarrytown in Austin Texas was severally damaged by improper cleaning method. It was determined that the stone had been badly damaged by an unqualified cleaning service who mistakenly used an acidic cleaner which etched the stone and damaged the polished finish.
Restoring Marble Floor
Our highly experienced technicians at Santa Fe Floor Care used state of the art technique and equipment to quickly remove the damaged stone and restore the polish to like new condition. First we used diamond embedded honing pads to cut through the damaged surface removing the etch marks. Then we got to work restoring the finish by performing several honing passes while consistently increasing the grit level. Finally we added the polished finish which restored the reflectivity to a mirror like appearance.
