During the initial meeting we go over all the various samples to make sure that we pick the color that makes the most sense for the client. We can match existing grout by special ordering the product based on product brand and number code or we can take you in an all new direction and try a unique and fun color. Grout Cleaning and Color Sealing Process
Santa Fe Floor Care has a multi step process to ensure the job is done right. We always professionally clean the grout lines before applying the color sealant to insure dirt or grime does not get sealed over and cause problems down the road. We take time after each job to walk through the home with the client and provide instructions for future upkeep.
Grout Cleaning
Acid washing the grout lines is a crucial step for prepping the grout to accept color seal. We scrub each grout line manually and rinse using our truck mounted hot water extraction machine. Then we neutralized the tile and grout by scrubbing the entire area with our rotary machine and alkaline tile cleaner. Then we rinse again and dry with high powered fans.
Grout recoloring
After the grout and tile are completely dry we apply the color sealer by hand. This is a long and tedious process that takes many hours to complete. We paint the grout colorant into the grout lines using a soft bristled brush that is specialised for Recoloring grout lines. Then we wipe away the access with shammies and warm water.
Post Clean and Buff
After the color sealing part is complete we do a post clean up.first by buffing out the area and moving all your furniture back. Then we walk the area with the owner to ensure they are satisfied with the work.
